“It is never too late to be what you might have been” – George Eliot (1819-1880)

My name is Lisette Hogewoning. Drawing and painting have always been part of my life. When I was little, I preferred drawing instead of playing with dolls. At high school I took drawing lessons and passed the final exam.

I found an interesting job as a Quality Consultant in an interantional assistance centre, which did not leave much room for my creativity. In 2011, I decided to start painting again and took lessons at volksuniversiteit Teylingen in my hometown.

In 2016 I decided to cancel my job, which mainly consisted of analysis & Lean Six Sigma training and follow my creative heart. At this moment I am a student (3th year) at the Wackers Academie in Amsterdam.

In july 2017 I have won 2 encouragement prices: the ‘Baalbergen encouragement price’ and the ‘Silver Brush’.

Lisette: “Acutally I enjoy making art in various ways; Painting with acrylic paint, ink or watercolor, drawing with pencil or chalk or making a collage out of  photo’s and pieces of paper. This alternation of techniques keeps things exiting and because of this the name of my company is: ‘Mix up Art’.”
